Let Us Know You’re Home xx

Earlier this year Bluestone Brewing Co took part in International Women’s Collaboration Brew Day, bringing together a brilliant group of women for a day of brewing, chatting and sharing ideas. The theme this year was Unite Belonging, centred on building a kinder and more inclusive beer community.

The group brewed the beer using

the Pink Boots Blend from Charles Faram, creating a beer full of tropical character with pineapple, orange and stone fruit coming through, alongside a soft, smooth finish.

The name came from a conversation on the day. Something immediately relatable, that feeling of walking home alone after dark, perhaps after a late shift or a night out, while not quite feeling safe. It is a situation many people in hospitality will recognise.

Let Us Know You’re Home xx felt like the right way to capture that. A simple message that most people will have sent or received before, but one that carries real meaning.

Rather than let the beer stand on its own, the decision was made to support Strut Safe UK, a volunteer-run service that stays on the phone with people while they walk home to make sure they get there safely.

A total of £400 was raised thanks to everyone who bought a can or had a pint. With the service costing around £800 a month to run, the donation covers half a month’s operating costs and contributes directly to supporting that work.

The beer is now sold out, but the message behind it remains the same. A simple idea, but one that meant a lot to everyone involved.

Cheers to that 🍻
