The Taproom & Shop
You’ll find us just a few miles outside of Newport, at the end of the Gwaun Valley. We’re based on the working family farm, Tyriet, at the foot of Carningli.
Our production areas are off-limits to the public but you can sit and enjoy a pint direct from the Brewhouse in our taproom, so pop in and enjoy a drink or take some beers away with you. We have five keg lines, shelves and a fridge full of takeaway beer and plenty of cider, wine & soft drinks too!
Everybody is always welcome. We do allow your well-behaved furry friends and children at the brewery. All we ask is that you remember that the Brewery is on a working farm. So, please ensure that your children are supervised at all times and make sure that your dogs are on short leads.
We are currently open Friday 12pm – 7pm and Saturday 11am – 6pm. Please keep an eye on our social media in case we have to make any last minute changes to our opening hours.
Events at The Brewery
We are more than just your average Brewery, we like to throw a few parties too! Throughout the year we put on several events for you to come and enjoy. Our events are all held on site, in the warmer months we open up our yard area and can host events of up to 450 people.
During the colder, winter months we enjoy putting on some smaller gigs in our taproom, acoustic and a lot more intimate. Carningli Nights Out is a local "not for profit," who use use our space and have some fantastic acts from all over the UK – it’s worth checking out what they have lined up here.
Grain
As well as the Brewery, we also have three pizza restaurants for you to enjoy - one in St Davids, one in Carmarthen and one in Cardigan.
In 2020, we joined forces with Ben & Byron from Penbanc Hospitality and opened our first ever restaurant. We always liked the idea of having our own place and somewhere that we could really showcase ourbeersand pizza seemed like the perfect pairing! An opportunity came up in St Davids and GRAIN was born. In December 2023, we expanded and opened our second restaurant in Carmarthen. Two more restaurants followed in 2025, SANTOS in St Davids (read more about that one below 👇) and GRAIN, Cardigan. And we think that's enough for now...
Santos Tŷ Tapas
A slight change from our usual offering, SANTOS serves up delicious Spanish tapas alongside our very own craft beer. SANTOS is right next door to our other restaurant in St Davids, GRAIN, and they even share a kitchen!
It's been lots of fun coming up with a whole new concept (Ben is the mastermind behind the amazing menu!) and trying to pair our beers with the Spanish dishes. All of our venues are open all year round, we'd love for you to visit!
