Women in Beer Awards

This time last week Emily & Louise were in London attending the inaugural Women in beer UK Awards and sitting their WSET Level 1 in Beer Exam, a busy few days!
The first night was the awards ceremony, and it was amazing to be surrounded by so many brilliant women - all making a big impact in the industry. It's nice to get out of Pembrokeshire every once in a while and meet new faces, a great opportunity to learn from other people in the world of beer, and an excuse to dress up! Well done to the Women in Beer UK team for putting on such a wonderful event, the first of many we hope!
No sore heads the next morning as we were up early to taste more beer! As part of the Women In Beer mentorship programme, Emily was offered the opportunity to sit the Level 1 in Beer exam and gain a qualification in all things BEER. Louise was also able to join the course and, as a relative newcomer to the Beer Industry, really enjoyed finding out more about the technical side of things. The course covered everything from brewing process, beer styles, beer tasting and storage.
Some might say we're more qualified than the boys now 😉....although we've not yet found out if we passed!
