Independent and Sustainable
We are a family run brewery tucked away in rural North Pembrokeshire, Wales. Our brewhouse is in the old Dairy, built from locally sourced Bluestone from the Preseli Mountain region of North Pembrokeshire; these Buildings are over 300 years old.
We create a wide variety of handcrafted beers that everyone and anyone can enjoy. We are an Assured Independent British craft brewer registered with SIBA. The ethos behind the business has always been about creating great beer, responsibly and with as little impact on the planet as possible.
The water that we use for brewing our beer is unique to Bluestone, it filters down through the Preseli Mountains and collects in a well on our land. This spring water is so clear that it goes straight from the well into our beers, with no filtering or chemicals added. We believe that the distinctive quality of Bluestone water gives our beer a unique taste that you won’t find anywhere else.
We are very proud to be an Environmentally Friendly brewery. We use Solar Panels, have our own reed bed drainage system and bi-products from the brewing process go to our farm animals. In 2018, we were awarded the Green Key Accreditation, an international award that recognises environmentally sustainable businesses. We are proud to be the first brewery in the world to be awarded this! Then, in 2023, we were named Sustainable Business of the Year at the SIBA Business Awards.
We have a taproom and events venue on site with lots to enjoy throughout the year. Whether you want to see an intimate evening of poetry in our bar or a reggae band performing to over 300 people in the yard, you’re sure to have fun when you come and visit us.
